Roxann Cooper

GBMS Board Chair

Roxann Cooper is a Principal partner with the Triumf Consulting Group and a former Government Executive with outstanding leadership skills honed from her nearly 30-year career in Federal, State, and local government. Her professional reputation is ingrained in her proven experience in call center operations at the Internal Revenue Service, and the District of Columbia Government, along with her business development expertise in private sector organizations.

As the Principal, she applies her honed skills in building and leading diverse teams to accomplish business objectives. She ensures Triumf has an experienced team of professionals to deliver impactful solutions to our clients. Roxann is responsible for overall operations and supports business development. Recruited for her business development acumen, she is a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Baden Medical Centers in the State of Maryland.

Roxann is an experienced Senior Project Manager, a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and a member of the Scrum Alliance. She holds a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (LSSYB) certification and earned her B.S. degree in Business and M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona.

Robert (Bob) Eaton

GBMS Board Vice Chairman

Bob Eaton recently retired from a thirty-eight year career in commercial banking.  In his career Bob worked closely with a variety of businesses, non-profits and professional practices providing aa array of financial solutions. Bob has served on the Board of GBMS since 2011.  He currently serves the Board as the Treasurer for GBMS.

A resident of Charles County since 1985, Bob is involved in numerous community organizations. He and his wife have four adult children and one grandchild.

Reverend Ruth Jackson

GBMS Board Secretary

Ruth Jackson is an ordained minister in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Chaplain, and a graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary.

Mary Ann Friis, RN, BS

GBMS Board Member

Mary Ann Friis RN, BSN spent most of her career in Public Health.  She worked at Health Departments and Visiting Nurses Associations in New York and New Jersey before moving to Maryland in 1972.  She worked at Prince George’s County Health Department from 1972 until retiring in 2020.  She worked in a variety of positions in Adult and Geriatric Health and was  Director of Adult and Geriatric Health at the time of her retirement.

From 2011 to 2023 she worked for an Internal Medicine practice as a nurse care manager under the MDPCP grant.

Lakeysha Boyd-Moore

GBMS Board Member

LaKeysha Moore, is the owner of Your Nu Image where she is changing how women experience hair loss and self image.

As a wife, mother and daughter, LaKeysha laser focused on providing the highest quality service, serving those in need, both professionally and as a volunteer.

A lifelong advocate focused on women and girls empowerment, LaKeysha has worked alongside numerous community service initiatives and fundraisers. She has served on the Board of Directors for Greater Baden Medical Services for the last 8 years. She was also recently elected the The Charles County Chamber or Commerce Board of Directors.

LaKeysha is thrilled to couple her passion for service and advocacy with her professional skills to improve the quality of life for those that she serves.

Nick Charles

GBMS Board Member

Delegate Nick Charles is the Chairman of the influential Prince George’s County House Delegation and is a member of the House Ways and Means Committee after having served his first 3 years on the House Health and Government Operations Committee. Delegate Charles was appointed by Speaker Adrienne Jones to serve as Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus, which supports 102 Members out of 141 in the House of Delegates. He was also appointed by the Speaker to serve as the Chairman of the Local Revenues Sub-Committee in the Ways and Means Committee. Additionally, he is the only Delegate that serves on the Maryland Procurement Improvement Council (PIC) where he advocates for equity and inclusion on behalf of small and minority businesses. Delegate Charles is also a member of the State Joint Audit Committee where he works to hold state agencies accountable and makes sure Prince George’s County gets its fair share.

Vivian Rivera DeLeon

GBMS Board Member

Vivian Rivera DeLeón is originally from Puerto Rico where she taught 4th to 6th grade Social Studies and Spanish. Vivian has been a Spanish teacher in Prince George’s County Public School for 15 years. During this time, she has taught elementary grades, Introduction to Spanish and Spanish 1 & 2. Currently, Vivian serves as the teacher of Native Speakers students at the International High School @ Largo in Upper Marlboro. Vivian completed her M ED in Curriculum and Instruction at Walden University. Also, she just finished her doctorate degree in Higher Education Self-Designed at NOVA University. Vivian is an accredited International Educational Speaker by the Cámara Internacional de Conferencistas from Lima, Perú.

Janine Horne, MSN, Ed, RN, AHN-BC

Owner and Founder, Zen Well Studio & Zen Well Health
Janine Horne is a highly accomplished healthcare professional, educator, and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in nursing, holistic wellness, and healthcare leadership. As the owner and founder of Zen Well Studio and Zen Well Health, Janine integrates her clinical
expertise with a passion for holistic health to empower individuals and communities to achieve optimal well-being.

Janine holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Education (MSN, Ed) and is a Board-Certified Advanced Holistic Nurse (AHN-BC). Her professional journey includes roles as a Director of Nursing, Clinical Development Director for Federally Qualified Healthcare Centers, Clinical Adjunct Professor and Nursing Executive for long-term services and supports (LTSS) programs for vulnerable, underserved and high-risk populations.

Currently, she serves as the Clinical Health and Wellness Educational Consultant for Children’s National, Hospital for
Sick Children Special Needs in Washington, DC. Through Zen Well Studio and Zen Well Health, Janine provides innovative wellness programs for diverse demographics, including seniors, caregivers, and individuals with chronic health conditions.

Vernetta Scott, RPH, PharmD

GBMS Board Member

Vernetta has nearly 40 years of experience working retail and hospital pharmacies throughout the Washington metropolitan area. In her career she has been involved in
several different specialties, including diabetes education, oncology, anticoagulation and geriatric pharmacy.

As a resident of Prince George’s County, Vernetta is involved in numerous community organizations. Vernetta’s pharmacy motto is to improve healthcare through knowledge
and compassion.
